If you are bsc(hons) agriculture UG student and thinking of doing higher studies after your UG degree in this fied Or Some Other field then this blog is for you. 

Their are several higher studies options students can go for after they completes their UG degree in agriculture.These are :

  1. M.Sc in Agriculture : 

 You can pursue this course after completing of you UG degree. 

Entrance exam -

You have to clear ICAR JRF exam to get admission in high reputed government Universities. 

Or, you can directly take admission in any private college or university on basis of your UG degree. 

Specializations in M.Sc agriculture :

  • M.Sc in Agronomy
  • M.Sc in Soil Science
  • M.Sc in Plant Pathology
  • M.Sc in Horticulture
  • M.Sc in Entomology
  • M.Sc in Plant breeding ,
  • M.Sc in Agri Informatics etc.
These are some most common M.Sc Agriculture specializations that you can go for according to you interests. 

2. MBA (Plane or with any Specializations).

If you are interested in business management, finance, statistics or wants to get in corporate jobs, MNCs, or wants to open your own business you can go for MBA programme. 

3.FABM (Farm and Agri Business Management) : 

It is a 2 years Post graduation course in this course you will learn about farm and agriculture business management skills, Agriculture farm management, Agri business advisory and consultancy, marketing, sales etc.  

4. MBA in Agriculture business management. 

It is also 2 years course and some what similar to FABM but dont get confuse these are different from each other. Here you will learn about agriculture finance, agriculture loans, insurance, agriculture industry experiences and agri business managing skills It is a wide complex field which includes both agriculture and business knowledge 

Eligibility 

10+2 with UG degree from recognised  college. 

Entrance exam - CAT , GMAT, XAT, MAT. CMAT , SNAP etc some private college may also have their own admission texts but mostly give admission on above exam basis .

5. Msc or MBA in Rural Development.

In this course you will be learning about rural people , agriculture and rural areas development .
It is a very adventurous type courses and If you want to work for development of rural upliftment then it is for you. 2 year course.

But as you belong to agriculture background it will be more better for you to choose    MBA in Agriculture Business Management rather than doing MBA in other fields. 

It will significantly boost you profile and knowledge in this field you can easily get job offers in this field of agriculture and business management. 
As Agriculture is a evergreen field and agri business and startups and growing day by day hence, demand of trained and educated professionals are increasing in market. 
You can make a very bright glowing career in this field. It will add up advance level businesses management knowledge in you and you can even start your own business or startup.

"IFFCO has launched a 100-day initiative to reach and cover rural and remote villages, aiming to extend its services to these areas." IIFCO has launched the Nano Fertilizer Usage Promotion Mahaabhiyan on July 1, 2024, to encourage the adoption of nano fertilizers. As part of this initiative, 200 model nano village clusters have been selected, covering 800 villages. Farmers in these villages will receive a 25% subsidy on nano fertilizers, including Nano Urea Plus, Nano DAP, and Sagarika. Additionally, IFFCO will provide a grant of Rs 100 per acre to drone entrepreneurs, enabling farmers to access affordable spraying services.   What is Agriculture? Here's is the simple definition.  Agriculture is an art and science of producing food, fodder, fiber, fuel, for the well being and survival of humans  It involves various activities like from cultivation to harvesting of crops, r earing of cattels, etc .
