IFFCO has launched and initiactive to promote the usage of nano fertilizers using drown technology

"IFFCO has launched a 100-day initiative to reach and cover rural and remote villages, aiming to extend its services to these areas."

IIFCO has launched the Nano Fertilizer Usage Promotion Mahaabhiyan on July 1, 2024, to encourage the adoption of nano fertilizers. As part of this initiative, 200 model nano village clusters have been selected, covering 800 villages. Farmers in these villages will receive a 25% subsidy on nano fertilizers, including Nano Urea Plus, Nano DAP, and Sagarika. Additionally, IFFCO will provide a grant of Rs 100 per acre to drone entrepreneurs, enabling farmers to access affordable spraying services. The goal is to demonstrate the benefits of nano fertilizers in improving crop quality and yield, and to promote their wider adoption."

"IFFCO has launched a 100-day campaign to promote the use of nano fertilizers, aligning with the Prime Minister's initiative to increase their adoption in agriculture. The campaign aims to conduct demonstrations and trials of nano fertilizers in various districts, with the help of research institutions and Krishi Vigyan Kendra. IFFCO will make nano fertilizers available through cooperative societies and other outlets, and provide agricultural drones and sprayers to facilitate their use. The goal is to encourage farmers to switch from chemical fertilizers to nano fertilizers, which will help increase crop productivity and reduce environmental pollution. To achieve this, IFFCO has set a target to produce 4 crore Nano Urea Plus and 2 crore Nano DAP bottles in 2024-25, and plans to distribute 6 crore bottles of nano fertilizers through its member societies. The Ministry of Fertilizers will collaborate to implement this scheme, which aims to reduce the use of conventional chemical fertilizers and promote sustainable agriculture practices."

"The excessive use of urea can harm the environment, water, and soil, while also contributing to crop diseases and low yields. In contrast, nano fertilizers offer numerous benefits, including:

- Enhanced soil health

- Reduced water and air pollution

- Increased crop production and quality

- Decreased reliance on conventional fertilizers

- Lower incidence of pests and diseases

- Easier transportation and storage

- Environmental sustainability

By adopting nano fertilizers, India can move towards self-reliant agriculture and a self-reliant India, while also protecting the environment. This shift can contribute to the country's economic and global growth."
