 What are the different branches of agriculture? 

  1. Agronomy. 
  2. Horticulture & floriculture. 
  3. Animal husbandry.

Let's briefly discuss each of these branches of agriculture. 

1.Agronomy - It is a branch of agriculture that deals with the science and technology of growing food, fiber, fodder, fuel . It also focuses on developing new management practices of agriculture farm and soil management practices.










2.Horticulture : It is a science that deals with the production and management of fruits, vegetables, spices, medicinal and ornamental plantation crops 













Floriculture : It deals with the cultivation of flowers crops.










3.Forestry : It deals with the study and science of forest management and forests plants, trees, wildlife and overall study flora and fauna of forests. 












4.Animal husbandry : It is the branch of agriculture science that deals with the rearing and management of animals for the production of milk , fiber, meat, eggs, and other product from animals. 













5.Agriculture engineering : It is a branch of engineering that involves construction, improvement and innovation in farm machinery and equipments used on farm. 











6.Agriculture economics -
It deals with the subject and issues related to agriculture . 
It is an applied economics to understand to agri economy and analysing production, producer, and consumer to analyse the distribution of agriculture goods and services. 












7.Agriculture Extension - It deals with extending out or promoting of new science, technology, seed, variety, schemes ,etc ,new things to farmer's so they can adopt it for their goodness.

Here's is the simple definition.  Agriculture is an art and science of producing food, fodder, fiber, fuel, for the well being and survival of humans  It involves various activities like from cultivation to harvesting of crops, r earing of cattels, etc .
